CertiRide is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information: email address, name (if provided), phone (optional)
- Vehicle information: VIN, license plate, make, model, year, mileage
- Inspection media: photos and videos you upload
- Payment data: processed by Stripe — we store only transaction IDs, not card numbers
- Usage data: pages visited, timestamps, IP address
2. How We Use Your Data
- To process your vehicle inspection and issue certificates
- To communicate status updates, certificate delivery, and renewal reminders
- To detect and prevent fraud
- To improve our service
3. Data Retention
Inspection media is retained for the duration of your certificate validity plus 90 days. Account data is retained until you request deletion.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with: payment processors (Stripe), notification providers (for email/SMS delivery), and as required by law.
